Patricia Kay’s final advice to new writers

Today is the last day of Pat’s interview, so I would like to thank her again for spending so much time crafting the answers to my questions. I also wanted to ask one final question. When it’s all said and done, what would be the one piece of advice she would give to new writers?

I had to think awhile about what my one piece of advice to a new writer would be. But here it is, the best piece of advice I could give any writer, experienced or brand new: Write the story you would want to read. Make it as good as you can possibly make it and pay attention to grammar, spelling, and punctuation. And then send it off and forget about it and immediately start writing another book.

Once again, best of luck to everyone, and happy writing!

Pat Kay
