Will you pay for what might be a fabled Kirkus hatchet review? Will Kirkus still wield its mighty axe?

Well, I told you’d there’d be more commentary on the Kirkus Reviews decision to provide a vehicle for self-published author and others in the “new media” to obtain the coveted Kirkus reviews through their new Kirkus Discoveries…for a fee of course. Thanks to PN Online I found this bit of chit chat going on over at Plastic.

Read the full Christian Science Monitor article on the Kirkus decision. I’m interested in seeing what you think after reading the article in CSM.

I was going to post this on your other thread about Kirkus, but held back at the time.
What would any of us say or do if rich people’s grocery stores gave away food for free, while the same chain grocery stores in poor neighborhoods sold food instead?
(I guess it would require advanced accounting gimmickry to keep the rich people’s grocery store profitable….)
Please do keep us appraised of your continuing research.

    Hi Ken,
Thanks for stopping by. The new developments at Kirkus certainly do raise questions, and I plan to keep an eye on the new Kirkus Discoveries and see how it all plays out.
