Tales of Mystery and Imagination
I love Poe, and I’ve been staring at this book for a number of years. Time to grab the book and settle into those big cushions on that comfy couch and prepare myself for the thrill of the read.
The year I met Edgar Allan Poe
I remember it well. I still lived up in Philadelphia. Must have been about 10 or 11 at the time. We had this wonderful old volume of his work, and I remember being slumped into the big chair with a leg slung over one arm and falling deep into a story that still pounds the hallways of my mind.
Yes, it was that classic short story Tell-Tale Heart. Do you remember where you were when you first heard that knocking?
I wonder how I’ll respond now so many years later? Thanks to The Classics Club and spin #6, I’ll know in a few weeks. Wish me luck.
